We ran a story earlier today after readers contacted us about an increase of rats in the popular visitor attraction.

While rats are common in parks, especially around water, some dog walkers described the increase as a problem.

A spokesperson for the council said: "Warwick District Council is aware of the issue and will be taking measures early next week."

David Atkinson sent us these photos (attached) and said that there seems to be a rat nest in the tree near to the Czech Fountain Memorial.

Another person who lives near the park and walks through it every day said: "More worryingly, the rats seem to be coming out in groups and at any time of day - certainly not concerned abut people or dogs around."

What do you think? Are the number of rats normal for this time of year - or have you noticed an increase? Email [email protected]
